The first of the Club’s Learn to Row courses this year was completed successfully in September. The course has had to adopt a different approach from that of previous years because of Covid-19 restrictions, and coach Tim Morris has therefore devised a series of 2-hour sessions using the club’s Glide One single sculling boats that complies with guidelines issued by British Rowing and allows a small group to learn the basics of sculling over 6 weekly sessions.
A second course for adult beginners (age 16+) is now underway and a course for juniors (age 11-15) is planned for the week commencing October 26th.
On completion of the initial course you will have the opportunity to follow it up with an improvers course and to join the club.
If you are interested in learning to row and taking up a new sport which is growing rapidly in popularity please contact the Explore Rowing Co-ordinator by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details or to ask to join the waiting list. Alternatively you can contact the club by telephone on 0191 386 6431.
