Competing in the Mixed Masters C double sculls Kim Forster and David Muse were Durham ARC’s sole representatives at the Pairs Head in London on Sunday October 2nd, their second start after the cancellation of the 2021 head at short notice because of adverse weather conditions.
2022 marked the 50th running of the competition for doubles and pairs which is raced on the Tideway over a 4500 metre course between Chiswick Bridge and Harrods Wall. Tidal conditions meant an early start at 9.30am.
The Pairs Head is organised annually by a committee from Barnes Bridge Ladies Rowing Club and sees up to 350 entries taking part in the first head race of the season on the Tideway.
Racing in Darc Legacy Kim and David finished 3rd fastest of the MxMasC 2x entries, and in 185th position overall in a time of 15.37.92. Final results are on the Pairs Head website.
