Nottingham Regatta weekend

Crews from Durham ARC were at Nottingham City Regatta and Nottingham Masters Regatta which this year fell on May 10th and 11th, the same weekend as Durham City Regatta. The regattas take place over 2000 metres on Saturday and 1000 metres on Sunday at the National Watersports Centre at Holme Pierrepont and act as preparation for national competitions that take place later in the season at the same venue, including this year the National Schools Regatta on May 23rd to 25th, National Masters Championships on June 14th and 15th and British Rowing Club Championships between July 18th to 21st.

Four crews entered on Saturday –

The Senior Men entered an Open Intermediate 4- in the morning and finished 1st in heat 1 in a time of 6.54.3 to qualify for the final in which they were 4th in 7.07.2.

In the afternoon the same crew entered the Open 4-, again winning their heat in 7.10.1 before coming 4th in the final in 7.09.9.

The Women’s Development 4+ were drawn into a straight final and finished 5th in 8.50.1, while the WJ18 4x- won their heat in 7.58.6 and placed 4th in the final in 8.06.8.

On Sunday the Durham/Hexham MasE 2x entered Nottingham Masters Regatta and won their heat in 3.32.99.
