World Rowing Masters Regatta in Banyoles

The Masters squad had 12 entries at the 2025 World Rowing Masters Regatta staged between September 10th and 14th at the Estany de Banyoles Regatta course in Spain, the venue used for rowing events at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

The second biggest edition in the event’s history attracted over 3700 athletes ranging in age between 27 and 96 from 745 clubs around the world, with Great Britain providing the largest contingent of around 670 athletes.

Racing over the 1000 metre course got underway on Wednesday afternoon with DARC’s involvement coming in the Men’s and Women’s events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, before concluding with composite Mixed races on the final day on Sunday.

Daily startlists provided by World Rowing are available here. Because of the large number of entries the regatta has no qualification structure and all races are finals with medals awarded to the winner of each race. Men’s Masters E 1x attracted the most entries with 139 which were accommodated in 18 races.

Thursday races produced 3rd place for Gabrielle Moore in the Women’s Masters F 1x, 3rd for Andy Jaggard in the Men’s Masters H 1x, 4th for Andy Jaggard and Richard Court in the Men’s MasF 2x, and 5th for Christine Heppell, Gabrielle Moore, Helen McMillan and Sam English in the Women’s MasE 4x-.
