Function Facilites
Durham Amateur Rowing Club is the perfect choice for your function.
With our city centre location and private parking we can offer the perfect setting for a wide range of functions.
The main function facilities consist of the bar area and function room which can either be used as one large room or as two separate rooms using an acoustic folding wall between the two.
The rooms can be dressed to suit your function. Most of the pictures on this page show a recent wedding with the rooms professionally dressed.

The table in the foreground is actually the pool table converted to provide a drinks reception.

There were about 80 guests at this event but the venue can suit events with guests numbers from 15 to 200 depending on the type of event and whether you have a buffet of sit-down meal.
The bar has a drinks and entertainment license until midnight, but this can be extended at an additional cost.
The function room without any dressing boasts impressive pictures of Durham Cathedral, Castle and Prebends Bridge.
The room can be used for a meal, disco, dance or even a ceilidh with live entertainment.
This is a dance after a Christmas meal.
We can provide catering to suit any needs and any budget.
At the Christmas meal above there were 30 guests but we can cater for a sit down meal for up to 80.
Buffets can be catered for up to 150 guests but the venue is able to hold up to 200 if no food is required.
