Learn to Row Courses

Durham Amateur Rowing Club is one of the first clubs in the UK to sign up to the British Rowing Explore Rowing scheme.
I’m pleased to announce our next Learn to Row course:
Sundays 11am-1pm, from 21st August to 23rd October.
The course is for adult (16+) beginners, and no experience of rowing is necessary. On the course qualified coaches and a team of helpers will teach you the basics of rowing, sculling, coxing and indoor rowing. The course will allow you to take up rowing either competitively or recreationally afterwards, and join DARC, the fastest growing rowing club in the country.
Costs
A course costs £60 for 10 two-hour sessions, and this includes membership of British Rowing (worth £23) and a Learn to Row Handbook (worth £4).
Please note that unlike our summer courses, this course does not have subsidised places, so will be £60 for everyone, whatever your age. Our next course with subsidised places will begin in March/April 2012.
How to Apply
If you would like a place on the course, please return the attached registration form to me at the address below, with a cheque for £60 (payable to ‘Durham ARC’) as soon as possible. The only way to get a place is with a completed registration form and cheque, and I will work on a first-come-first-served basis. Download the registration form here.
Once I’ve received your application, I’ll confirm your place by email.
Note that each course is limited to 14 participants. If you miss out on the course you want, or can’t do the dates, other courses will be available in 2012.
